INTEGRA 256 Plus
Thank you for choosing the product offered by the SATEL Company. Wishing you full
satisfaction with the choice you made, we are always ready to provide you with professional
assistance and information on our products.

security alarm systems. Further information is available on our website www.satel.eu or at
the points of sale offering our products.
2. Technical reliability of the alarm system
The alarm system is built of technical devices, the performance of which has crucial effect on
the effectiveness of the facility protection. Components of the alarm system may be exposed
to various external factors, such as weather conditions (e.g. outdoor sirens and, during
a storm, also other devices, as a result of atmospheric discharge which may cause harm to
electrical and telephone installations) or mechanical damage. Only a routine check of the
system operation makes it possible to maintain a high level of burglary protection.
The control panel is provided with a number of safeguards and automatic diagnostic features
to test the system performance. Detection of irregularities is signaled by the LED on the
keypad. You should immediately respond to such a signal, and, if necessary, consult
the installer.
It is necessary to periodically carry out a functional test of the alarm system. Check that the
control panel responds to violation of individual detectors, that their coverage areas are not
obstructed, that there is a reaction to opening protected windows, and that sirens and
telephone messaging work normally.
Detailed instructions on the system testing should be provided by the installer. It is
recommended that the installer carry out periodic maintenance of the alarm system, when
ordered by the user.
It is in the user's interest to foresee and prearrange the procedures to be followed when the
control panel signals an alarm condition. It is important to know how to verify the alarm and
identify its source on the basis of keypad information, and take appropriate measures, e.g., to
organize evacuation.
3. Alarm system operating costs
The control panel can inform the users and the monitoring station about the status of
protected facility. Realization of these functions by means of the phone line or GSM means
financial costs. The amount of the costs incurred depends on the amount of information sent.
A failure of telephone links, as well as an incorrect programming of the control panel, may
result in increased costs (due to making of excessive number of calls).
Please inform the installer, which is a priority: to deliver information at any cost, or to prevent
excessive costs. For example, after an event code has failed to be sent successfully to the
monitoring station, the control panel may repeat attempts every few minutes to send the code
or to cease the attempts to send the code until a next event occurs.
